How We Prepared for Your Return, for New Members and for Moving Forward Together.
The health and safety of the members, guests and staff continues to be our top priority. As our community moves towards opening up for business and working outside the home, we want to share with you how we are preparing to safely and thoughtfully move forward as a flexible coworking space, meeting center and shared office community. We have been following WHO, CDC and local guidance in order to update VenturePad for your return. As of June 1, 2020 the County of Marin and city of San Rafael have approved a return to office spaces as long as standard Covid protocols are followed.
De-densify
We’ve reduced the density of shared workspaces to increase personal space to at least 6 feet. Shared workspaces include: the lobby, dedicated and open desks, lounge, café and kitchen, conference rooms. The Number of people who can enter the facility at any one time is limited to ensure we maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another at all times.
Increased sanitization:
- We’ve increased the frequency of cleaning in our spaces and the availability of sanitizing products for our members and guests throughout the facility. We provide hand sanitizer, soap and water, sanitizing wipes and/or disinfectant in the lobby, open space, bathrooms, phone booths, meeting rooms and kitchen. We don’t have a regular need for contactless payment systems but if we have an event that includes it, we will provide for disinfecting all payment portals, pens, and styluses after each use.
- We regularly disinfect other high-touch surfaces at the beginning, end and throughout the workday. Members will need to sanitize their own desk space prior and after their daily use.
- 100% of our air is refreshed thru brand new HEPA filters every 5 hours.
Informative signage:
Signage and floor decals are in place to remind all members of the community how they can do their part in maintaining proper hygiene and safety. The Social Distancing Protocol is posted at the door and lobby for members and when allowed, guests.
Kitchens/cafes:
We have reduced touchpoints in kitchens and the cafe, as well as encouraging a reduced number of people in the kitchen area at a time. The dishwasher sanitize mode will be used versus hand washing dishware. Increased surface cleaning will be done during the day.
Open seating:
You will find fewer chairs in the open seating area in order to enable distancing and we will encourage daily member reserved seating (i.e. members are able to use available signage or desk pads to hold their seat).
Conference rooms:
Our conference rooms have reduced capacity and reconfigured seating. We are also increasing the frequency of cleaning these spaces and providing cleaning supplies in conference rooms for use between meetings.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):
Members and guests are required to wear masks as per County Regulations. Gloves can be worn at their discretion.
COVID19 exposure and response:
Please let the community manager (Alejandro or Chris) know of any known cases or points of contact that you or your guests in the space have had with COVID-19, so that we can work, in anonymity, to ensure proper communications and response plans. While our response is determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account where the individual was (whether within our space or not), when they were last in the building, the status of COVID-19 testing, and, most importantly, guidance from public health officials and our landlord partner. Plans include an immediate closure and a deep cleaning of our space.
